About me
Hi, I'm Pao! I was born in Cali, Colombia, on August 27, 1996.
I grew up mainly in the Marroquín II and Compartir neighborhoods, in eastern Cali, with my mom Marly, my dad Andrés, my sister Carol, my cat Lola and my dog Dante.
School/jobs
I love promoting reading!
I studied at Nariño High School and then at the University of Valle, where I studied Speech-Language Pathology. After that, I worked mainly in the field of education at the Carvajal Foundation and for an early childhood development program.
Fun facts
I traveled to Cusco, Peru, and visited Machu Picchu, one of the wonders of the world. I also traveled to Chilean Patagonia and saw a glacier for the first time, experiencing a landscape very different from Cali, Colombia, where I live. I've also been to concerts by Alkolirykoz, Twenty One Pilots, Years & Years, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, Hozier, Grupo Niche, and Shakira. When I was 15, I saw the ocean for the first time with my classmates, just before my high school graduation.
I was very impressed!
A dream came true!
Among my achievements are the creation of my business's visual identity (though it can still be improved), and participation in an entrepreneurship fair. I've also been part of a feminist collective promoting reading and writing, with whom we published a futuristic novel written collaboratively by 38 women from two cities (Bogotá and Cali). I've also had the opportunity to design tattoos for two people.
I was inspired!
It was a labor of love
My goals
I want to finish my degree in Visual Media Development and start working as a freelancer, as well as running my own business in bookbinding, graphic arts, and/or ceramics. I also want to open a physical store and workshop to teach these arts. Finally, I want to study and work in another country, such as Ireland.
An idea of what I want my store to look like
Ireland seems so beautiful!
